Originally created as a blog cover on an extremely short turnaround, this asset was built to translate a technically layered platform story into something immediate, readable, and visually controlled. The surrounding article focused on Network as Code and WaveXD, where network capabilities, UI, and application logic come together in a more accessible developer experience.
Rather than falling back on generic tech abstraction, I developed a form that suggested multiple layers being drawn into one continuous system.
The intertwined strands gave the piece a sense of flow, integration, and controlled tension, which felt closer to the logic of the platform than a decorative “connectivity” visual would have. What began as a one-off editorial image quickly proved useful beyond its original placement.
After publication, other teams requested the asset and additional versions were developed, including still and motion variations. It was later added to the Nokia Brand Library as a reusable abstract brand asset for broader internal use.
